Helping you help your clients do good.
When your clients are ready to make a difference through charitable giving, we’re here to support your work. The Community Foundation of Elkhart County partners with professional advisors—attorneys, accountants, financial planners, and others—to help clients fulfill their personal, financial, and philanthropic goals.
Whether your clients are making a current gift, planning for a legacy, or exploring complex giving strategies, we offer simple, flexible tools to support you.

Establishing a Fund
If your client wants to create something lasting, a charitable fund at the Community Foundation is a straightforward alternative to setting up a private foundation.
We’ll work with you and your client to choose the type of fund that aligns with their goals:
- Donor-Advised Funds
- Designated Funds
- Scholarship Funds
- Field of Interest Funds
- Unrestricted Community Funds
Funds can be started with a gift today or be part of an estate plan for the future. We manage the details so your clients can focus on what matters most—supporting the causes they care about.
Estate Planning Support
Many of the gifts we receive come through thoughtful end-of-life planning. We’re honored to work alongside you to ensure these legacy gifts are meaningful, well-structured, and stewarded with care.
If your client is considering a bequest, naming the Foundation in their estate plan, or transferring non-cash assets, we can:
- Provide sample language for wills and trusts
- Help determine the most effective giving vehicle
We can also work quietly and confidentially with you in early conversations.
