Well Foundation

The Well Foundation, formerly the Goshen Hospital & Health Care Foundation, was established in 1969 to support Goshen General Hospital and help ensure ongoing access to quality health care in our region. Over nearly five decades, it awarded more than $6 million to meet health needs throughout the community.

Formed by a group of dedicated local residents, the foundation was grounded in the belief that local leadership matters. In March 2017, its assets were transferred to the Community Foundation of Elkhart County. Many of the original volunteers continue to serve as members of the Well Foundation Fund Committee, helping guide grantmaking decisions today.

Each year, the Well Foundation Fund awards approximately $200,000 in grants supporting programs that promote health and wellness in Goshen and across Elkhart County.
