Universal Application
for Adults

One Application. Multiple Scholarships.

We believe learning doesn’t stop after high school. That’s why the Community Foundation of Elkhart County offers scholarship opportunities specifically for adult students—whether you’re going back to school, changing careers, or pursuing a degree for the first time.

With one application, you’ll be considered for six different scholarships. The Universal Application is designed to simplify the process and match you with the opportunities you qualify for—no need to apply to each scholarship individually.

Who Should Apply?

You’re eligible to apply if you:

  • Are a resident of Elkhart County.
  • Have earned a high school diploma or equivalent prior to applying.
  • Plan to attend an accredited college, university, or vocational program.
  • May be pursuing undergraduate or graduate-level studies, depending on scholarship criteria.

Whether you’re attending full-time or part-time, working toward a certificate or degree, we encourage you to apply.

How It Works

  • The application opens on January 1 and closes on March 1.
  • It takes about an hour to complete.
  • Once submitted, your application is reviewed and matched to all adult scholarships for which you’re eligible.
  • Applicants are responsible for ensuring that transcripts and personal evaluations are submitted by the third parties from whom they request them.
