Since the summer of 2014, 100 Women Who Care Elkhart County has been making a difference with its quarterly $10,000 gifts.
Four times a year, a group of local women who care deeply about Elkhart County and impacting their community gathers for a one-hour meeting. Women give $100, either individually or with someone else. Each $100 gift results in one vote toward selecting a local nonprofit to receive the combined $10,000. The group has awarded more than $375,000 in its history.
The July 11 meeting at Matterhorn Conference Center will be a special one for this group. In January, 100 Women voted to award a grant to establish a Safe Haven Baby Box in Goshen. Monica Kelsey, founder of Safe Haven Baby Boxes, will be a featured speaker. Monica will be sharing her story and chatting with those who attend following the meeting.
Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be provided. All women who live or work in Elkhart County are warmly invited to attend this event. The group is always open to new members and we hope to see a number of new faces at this special event.

About the speaker:
Monica Kelsey is a bestselling author and the founder of Safe Haven Baby Boxes.
She knew her entire life that she had been adopted, but learned at age of 37 the devastating truth that she was conceived in rape and abandoned as an infant.
Monica is a U.S. Navy veteran and a former firefighter and medic.
She has spoken across the U.S., Japan, Ecuador, Peru, and South Africa. She shares her personal story with thousands of people every year and has made it a personal mission to not only advocate for the sanctity of human life, but to also one day eliminate illegal infant abandonment around the world.
