June 15: The Right Board Member
Great boards do not happen accidentally – they are designed strategically and with purpose. Do you have the right people seated at your board table? What perspectives, skills and abilities are missing? What other qualities do you need in a board member? This session explores the key steps to attracting/identifying, engaging, and retaining board members. With stronger board leadership, you will be poised for board productivity and meaningful engagement with your mission.
We will cover practical ways and key components of:
- Identifying and attracting the right people for the current needs of your organization.
- Designing robust board member orientation, on-boarding and ongoing development.
- Enhancing continual board engagement through meaningful projects.
