Community Impact Scholarship
The Community Impact Scholarship was established by the Community Foundation to improve the quality of life in Elkhart County by providing education opportunities. The unrestricted Scholarship Fund for Elkhart County provides support for the awards. Many generous community members have donated to the unrestricted scholarship fund to make these awards possible.
Selection for this award is heavily weighted on career goals, personal statements, and professional evaluations.
Eligibility Requirements
- A resident of Elkhart County minimum of four years.
- Must be a high school graduate or possess a GED or HSE.
- Employed in Elkhart County or adjacent county for the past 12 months.
- Planning to enroll full-time or part-time in an accredited undergraduate, technical, or certificate program within 100 miles of Elkhart County or enrolled online.
Amount of awards: Multiple awards are given every year. The number and amount vary each year and are at the discretion of the Community Foundation Career Pathways Committee. This is a one-year award, however, students are encouraged to apply each year for up to four years depending on a degree course. The maximum yearly award is $3,000.
Apply between January 1 and March 1, 2023.
